We worked with St. Lawrence College on their newly redesigned 2019 edition of Voyageur Magazine, which is distributed annually to over 50,000 alumni and friends of the college.
The Food Issue highlights the college’s involvement in and around the food industry. Photographer Jaime Hogge travelled to the Kingston campus to photograph some notable alumni as well as current culinary students. Kingston-native, Bernard Clark, caught up athlete Paula Wiltse to capture how nutrition plays a role in her life. Food photographer, Reena Newman, got up close an personal to a sprinkle donut for us. We commissioned Sam Island to illustrate a whole pile of spots for us—including the now annual shark playing hockey.
“We are beyond excited about the work Studio Wyse team has done with our Alumni magazine. Never before have we had so many calls and letters from graduates who told us how much they enjoyed the issue (and suggestions for topics in future issues). We finally have a magazine that reflects our graduates: interesting, eclectic, warm and engaging. And we couldn’t have done it without the amazing team at Wyse, who could tell what we were looking for, even when we couldn’t always describe it. The alumni magazine represents a huge chunk of our budget, and with the help of the Studio Wyse, there is no question that it leverages our tiny Alumni team’s efforts to reach graduates in an effective and engaging way, PLUS it is now being used by our campus partners to showcase the impact our College has on our communities through the stories of our grads.”
